From September 2023 until September 2024 there was a Coventry Jewish Community exhibition at the Herbert Museum and the Coventry Archives. See below photos from the opening ceremony with the then Lord Mayor of Coventry, Councillor Jaswant Singh Birdi and his wife. The opening included representatives of the major faith communities in our City: Christian, Muslim, Sikh & Hindu. We stood together fostering understanding and tolerance across our communities and promoting the positive contributions to the life of the City brought by each immigrant family and culture.Â
The exhibition is now complete, but there are still permanent displays in the Herbert Museum & Art Gallery, as well as many records and treasured memories in the Coventry Archives.
Come and discover more about the life and history of Coventry's Jewish community in the exhibits till on display in the Herbert Museum, and in the Coventry Archive. It is free to see at all the opening hours of the Museum and Coventry Archive.
